Magnum P.I. came to NBC after 4 seasons on CBS. The show received a major relaunch by the network that included a YouTube TruView series of sequenced ads. We had fun with the YouTube audience by rewarding them for not skipping
with exclusive scenes from the upcoming season, and being very cheeky with those who did skip. We also produced very fan-centric organic social content that included an intentionally over-the-top book trailer for the Robin Masters book collection - the mysterious in-world author who based the hero of his book series on Thomas Magnum. Fans ate it up and could not believe that such an “inside” idea had been made into a trailer.
