SO TO SPEAK | DJ ACUCRACK
This groundbreaking project was completely self-produced in an age long before AI and generative imaging. I put together a small group of VFX renegades who committed nearly a year of their lives to creating this piece, all utilizing desktop technology.
We ambitiously combined motion capture with live action bluescreen to replace the body of our lead actress. Prosthetics were also used to achieve the faceted bodies of the androids.
To create the unique “cyber dollhouse” look, detailed miniatures were built of all the major environments. They were then photographed, digitized, and mapped onto 3D scenes for camera matching. The piece won the prestigious Visual Effects Society (VES) award for "Best Visual Effects in a Music Video."
